Shipbuilding and shipping are a major part of Wallaceburg’s heritage. Pleasure-boat builders have operated here since the end of the steamships. Wallaceburg continues to attract tourists to its harbours and marinas, and clubs celebrating the craftsmanship of Wallaceburg-made boats (like Mac-Craft and Van Craft) can be found as far away as Atlanta, Georgia.
